Borrower Spotlight: Jessie Bustamante
Jessie’s experience with JFL shows how community support and interest-free lending can open doors to opportunity and growth.

I first heard about JFL when they came out to Moishe House and did a presentation. After learning that the organization provides interest-free loans to the Jewish community, I immediately filled out an application.
I first took out a student loan and then later secured a debt consolidation loan. The student loan gave me the financial leverage that I needed to focus on my studies without the burden of high-interest rates. The consolidation loan allowed me to get my finances under control. Both loans really taught me the value of money.
I would tell those who are thinking about taking a JFL loan that there really is no catch, the money is interest free. JFL is here for our community, rooted in Jewish values of tzedakah and support.
I am so grateful to those who have donated to this wonderful organization. JFL came into my life just when I needed help and said YES to ease my financial burdens. I hope donors know how their donation directly impacts someone’s life for the positive. I can’t say thank you enough.
